Nails Inc. Ice Cream and Sprinkle Collection Part 1 || Manicure Weekend

I'm back! Sorry for not posting a manicure last weekend. I had my nails painted and was all ready to go and then I forgot to take photos. But not to worry; I come with something super exciting -- a three part series on Nails Inc. Ice Cream and Sprinkle Collection!

I was looking through my weekly Sephora Insiders email a couple weeks ago and they were introducing some new nail sets. I saw this set and knew I had to get it. The colours just screamed spring and summer! The set includes 3 colours (2 high gloss finishes and 1 special edition effects finish) in 4ml (0.13 fl oz) containers. I thought these would be a perfect size for those who are thinking about going on vacation/holiday this summer.

For the next three weeks I will post my thoughts on these three colours. The first one I'll start with is Upper Regent Street.

Upper Regent Street, in the bottle, looks like a really rich creamy chocolate brown. I've never tried browns on my nails before so I was very excited. But once I applied it on my nails the colour was not the same. I can't say I'm disappointed; the colour is still very creamy but just a tad bit darker. The formula was very smooth and I just needed two thin coats. The one thing I would do next time is add an accent nail.

Stay tuned for next week's colour!

Butter London Molly-Coddled || Manicure Weekend

Hello Everyone!

Like I said in my last post, I'll be reviewing polishes!! So for all you nail polish crazies -- this post is for you!

This is my first Butter London product and I AM IN LOVE! What I'm wearing right now is part of their new Spring line of colours! I've been following Ingrid from missglamorazzi and she had this colour on and, immediately, I wanted it! The colour is called Molly-Coddled and it's a perfect spring summer transition colour. I am a sucker when it comes down to purple - lilacs, lavenders, plums - you name it, I probably have it. Now my lighter purples all have a blueish hue to it. Molly-Coddle, on the other hand, is more of a pinky pastel purple; this is the reason why I bought it.

My first impression of Butter London was "Dang, it's expensive". But for the size and the quality, I would definitely  say it was worth every penny! It's super creamy but not too thick. The brush fans out nicely and gives the nail a really good coat. Drying time is pretty fast and, with a top coat, doesn't chip as easily.

Go check out the rest of their Spring 2013 Collection. If I were to pick another colour, I would have to pick the colour "Kerfuffle"; really nice soft coral :)

All right, that's a wrap! I will talk to you all soon!

Spring Time || Nail Art

Hi Readers,

I want to apologize for not posting in a VERY LONG time. Since working almost full-time and volunteering here and there, it's been hard to keep up. But never the less, I'm posting again!

I'm just on my second week of Spring Break (perks to working in the school system) and been hanging out at the house. But since the weather has been so nice, it gave me some inspiration to "springify" my nails. Super simple and super easy to do; this is a great look to match all your spring colours in your wardrobe!

Polished used:
Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect - "06 Air"
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - "420 Yellow Kitty"
Revlon Nail Enamel - "85 Minted"
OPI Nail Lacquer - "Alpine Snow"

I needed 2 - 3 coats of the mint and blue to get the opaqueness I wanted. And using a dotting tool (or you can use an end of a bobbypin), dotted five white dots and one yellow dot for my daisy. That's it!

I am now just looking at my collection of polishes and realized that I have LOTS! Maybe it's time for me to put them to good use. I usually paint my nails once a week and every time it's a different colour. So I'm thinking I should start reviewing them? I follow Jen from From Head to Toe (http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/) and she does something on her blog called Manicure Mondays. I'm thinking that I might start this up too!

Hope you all like this post (I know it's super simple but I might as well). That's all from me today!

Happy painting :)

Burns Bog: Delta, BC || Travel

It's been a busy couple weeks since the school season started up. Haven't had the time, until today, to pick up my camera and snap some shots. Today's destination: Burns Bog, Delta, BC. I know this isn't anything exciting like Mexico or Hawaii, but it's still a destination with lots of cool things to take pictures of.

My friend Samson needed to take some pictures for a school projected and asked me if I wanted to be his buddy for the day. Thank goodness I didn't have work :) So off we went bright and early (okay so 8:30 isn't that early) and set off to Burns Bog. Because we were on a time crunch (Samson had class at 2:30), we only had time to walk around the outer part of the bog. We didn't end up seeing the actually bog (the watery parts) but we still got some good shots of the boardwalk trails. I'll be up in Delta again this Sunday; maybe I'll be able to get a few snaps of the bog.

Love trees! This one had some kind of sticky substance on it. I don't even want to know what it can be.

Sun peaking through the trees

Skunk Cabbage! That part of the trail smelt really bad.

Squirrel! This little guy just stopped and stared. Didn't even move a muscle!

Haha! So this isn't a eatz or beauty treat (obviously). Hopefully be posting a beauty treat sometime in the near future. But that's it for now :)
