On a much happier note: been diving deeper into the Word and been wanting more and more (just like when I'm super hungry and want ramen). Since it's the month of February, I decided to focus on the idea of love. What is love? Is it more than just chocolate, flowers, and lovey-dovey chick flicks? I keep on thinking of how much I am loved by my family and friends and how much I love them. But how about those who can't find that love? As Christians, we have the duty to share that love. Christ has given us so much love through his death and resurrection. He promises that he will give us the love that we need and more. That "extra" love is something that we cannot keep and reserve. There are people all around us that need that warm comfort of Christ's love. I've been trying to live up to this and been loving the people around me. I give you the challenge to do the same.
Dear friends, let us love on another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and send his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love on another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. -- 1 John 4: 7, 9 - 12
what a good reminder ness :) I find it easy to love others who I know and like but those people who cut me off in traffic or talk rudely over the phone I don't think they deserve my love. however those situations are when I have the best opportunity to put into action the love that I try to preach to others
